ProductDescription : These highly-concentrated easy-to-use color blocks are a great way to thoroughly color your candle whether you are a crafter or a professional candle maker. Color blocks can produce a vibrant candle in your wax system if the correct dosage is used. Depending on the color and wax you are using, one color block could color 8-10lbs of wax. These colors used in the correct dosage will have a minimal impact on your candles burning properties though using too much color can have a negative impact on your candle’s burning which can include but not limited to, excessive smoking, reduced melt pool and scent throw, clogged wick which could result in a small or extinguishing flame. Color blocks have good mixing properties so you can mix color blocks to achieve different variations of color. Themended temperature for manufacturing with color blocks under 190⁰ f. Working at higher temperatures or prolonged exposure to heat can degrade the colors, causing fading or color alteration to appear. The following factors that may affect the amount of dye required for the desired shade includes, the opacity and type of wax, wax additives and last but not least fragrance. It’s very important to make sure that your color blockpletely melted and thouroughly mixed before pouring to eliminate the chance of the “color specking” at the bottom or top of your candle depending whether you are making jar or pillar candles.
