A good indication that the diaphragms are worn and need replacing is if you notice the oil in the sight glass has a milky grey color. Stop running the pump and replace the diaphragms immediately because running the pump with torn diaphragms can cause extensive damage to your pump. If the Hypro D50 is in constant use, it is recommended to replace diaphragms every 3 months or 500 hours and replace valves every 6 months or 1000 hours.
