Quartz cotton is a fiber made of high purity silica and natural quartz crystal. The purity is 99.99% and the density is 2.2 g/cm3. The tensile strength was 7 GPa and the tensile modulus was 70 GPa. It has heat resistance, corrosion resistance and softness. High strength retention, dimensional stability, thermal shock resistance, chemical stability, light transmission and electrical insulation at high temperatures.
