ProductDescription : Joining together history, excellence and authenticity, Vista Alegre and Casa de Alba, one of the most important aristocratic families in the world, whose origins date back to the 15th century, have developed a selection of exclusive pieces. Created under the quality and prestige guidelines of both insignias, this table set, coffee and tea, which mixes tradition and avant-garde design, portrays different country animals, in the grisaille technique, with a frame stripe composed of foliage and acorns also in grisaille, on a green spongy background - drawings belonging to the Vista Alegre archive. The Vista Alegre porcelain factory was founded in 1824, in Ílhavo, part of the Aveiro district (near the sea, in central Portugal). The company was the product of the heart and mind of a 19th century Portuguese entrepreneur and visionary, João Ferreira Pinto Basto. Throughout its history, the Vista Alegre brand has been closely linked to the cultural life of Portugal, though it has maintained a high level of international renown as well, exporting its products to more than 60 countries. Their products are used in some of Europe's finest hotels and restaurants.
