This is a powerful fan, it's default setting is on full speed, and it's not quiet at full speed. No PWM fans are. With the proper PWM control working, you won't likely experience full speed very often. If you aren't familiar with how the PWM function works, you might want to google it and make sure your bios supports it or your probably going to be experiencing loud fan volumes.
