It has been written up in trade publications and has won numerous awards over the years. It has passed the ASTM certification process to verify that Liquid BUTYL Rubber performs exactly as we claim. Standing water on flat roofs is the number one reason for leaks. Fortunately, our Liquid Butyl Rubber can withstand ponding water literally 365 days a year. In fact, it has been used to coat the inside of fountains and fishponds. Avoid future water leaks and costly property damage that could wind up costing thousands of dollars. You can rest easy knowing that Liquid Butyl Rubber, protects your roof with just one coat. Liquid butyl rubber is applied at approximately 50 sq. ft per gallon. Liquid Butyl Rubber is ready to use; thinning is not required. Mix for approximately five minutes with an electric drill mixer to allow the solvent to be distributed. The application of the product is with a medium nap roller (3/8 inch) (not a foam roller) and a chip brush around corners and vertical surfaces. The product has a five-year shelf life as long as you affix the lid properly so air does not get in. Average dry time: Dry to touch in 3 - 4 hours, full dry 25 hours.
