Our Quick Cast is an ultra-fine, oil-bonded and pre-mixed moldable clay/sand mixture that allows you to cast highly detailed silver, gold, and copper materials. This method allows you to virtually duplicate dimensional objects (such as ancient coins, toys, wax, wood, plastics, etc.) with gold, copper, bronze, or silver using this reusable clay. Cost-effective and great for jewelry making. The molds can be made from objects composed of wood, wax, epoxy, plastics, and metal. Not recommended for designs with undercuts. This is a Delft Clay alternative.
The mold flask is sturdy cast iron vessel that measures 4-3/4" x 3" x 2".
The 13" gloves are ideal for hand protection when working with high heat temperature applications. Designed with a protective flannel lining.
Parting powder provides a non-stick surface while working with the Petrobond quick cast sand/clay (4 oz).
Anhydrous flux aids in keeping your molten metals at a liquified state, and helps draw out impurities (4 oz).
Tongs are 19" long and made from sturdy black carbon. Firmly grips onto the lip of the crucible.
Graphite Foundry Crucibles are rated to withstand temperatures up to 1560°F to 2912°F (850°C to 1600°C). Measurements: 5-1/4" high x 4-3/4" in diameter (exterior dimensions); 4-3/4" deep x 3-3/4" in diameter (interior dimensions). The "#" in the title represents the amount of aluminum that the crucible can accommodate (pounds); the "Kg" is for the amount of kilograms of brass and copper capacities; other metal volumes will vary.
Safety First: Always wear heat-resistant gloves and face protection, as well as a safety apron. Intended for adult use only.
