Editorial Review
Gamblin Ground makes a strong foundation for oil paintings. Formulated with alkyd resin, titanium dioxide and barium sulfate, Gamblin Ground makes fabric supports (canvas and linen) stiffer than acrylic gesso and more flexible than traditional oil primers. Because of a higher percentage of pigments, painters need only apply two coats instead of the recommended four coats with acrylic gesso.

Features
1) Bright white - non-absorbent ground like a traditional oil ground
2) Non-absorbent grounds are brighter because the oil is retained in the paint
3) Grounds make canvas and linen stiffer
4) Surface is ready for paint application as soon as the surface is sanded
5) Size 8oz
