The ready-to-paint surface is like a gesso canvas in texture, appearance and absorbency, giving artists the familiar feel of a fine linen or canvas with the additional advantage of painting on a rigid surface. The durable, rigid, MDF support makes the primed canvas texture panel ideal for palette-knife painting and multimedia applications. The 1.5 inch cradled panels are handcrafted using 1/2 inch birch plywood, offering extreme stability and support. These wood panels will not give, bend or Flex. As with all of ampersand's panels, they are made with quality materials that have been tested for durability and for performance with artists' paints.
