ProductDescription : AQUA-RITE Circuit Board Repair Item ( 5 Mini Blade Fuses, 20 Amp, 32 Volt) (One Fuse used on PCB) The first thing to check when you have a circuit board failure!! It is possible the fuse may blow before the Thermistor or Varistors fail. Check your fuse first, then check for Thermistor ( Ametherm SL32 2R025) failure and then check for failure of the 2 Varistors (Littelfuse V150LA2P). Please note the Common Failure Modes for this circuit board: HAYWARD / GOLDLINE / AQUA-RITE GLX-PCB-RITE This board failure is often due to the "sacrificial" destruction of the fuse, or the thermistor and/or varistors used to protect the circuit from high voltage and high current surges that could occur after a lighting strike during thunderstorms or other power surge. Normally the thermistor protects the circuit on start-up, providing a relatively high resistance (2 Ohm) at ambient temperature to limit "InRush Current", and then essentially disappearing from the circuit (0.02 ohm) when the current is near or equal the design current of 25 Amp. The part will fail when a power surge is much greater than the power handling capability of the part. The correct replacement thermistor is: Ametherm ICL - SL32 2R025 Inrush Current Limiting (ICL) Thermistor (1 Thermistor used) Board also uses: 2 VARISTORS (V150LA2P) Varistors are used to "CLAMP" the incoming Voltage as a second protection device.
