ProductDescription : Traditionally, coconut shy balls are light, wooden balls - only just heavy enough to knock a coconut out of a cup if thrown hard and accurately. Following the fairground traditional these balls are lighter - at around 30g each - than our standard balls which are nearer to 50g each.

This makes the game harder but is exactly what some people require when they are trying to make it difficult for the punters to win! It's still possible to knock the coconuts off the shy if they are thrown hard and accurately enough but you won't need to buy so many coconuts.

Beware - these balls are for older teenagers and adults. Most children younger than 14 will not be able to throw them hard enough to yield success. If your fair will include youngsters, please opt for our standard coconut shy balls...

These lighter balls are 2 inches (5cm) diameter and are made form Birch wood or simiilar. They may not be perfectly spherical and may have the odd knot mark but they are perfect for their purpose and rather nicer than is necessary, given that they will soon be heavily battered!

A few customers have contacted us asking whether these balls are suitable for a "crockery smash" stall at a fair. Well, the answer is yes! Should work fine. Obviously, the lighter balls will make it a bit harder to smash the crockery too.
