Just GENTLY slide your tool thru the channel back and forth applying an even but SOFT pressure against the fabric. We recommend to use the SMOOTH-IT on your tools at least once a day. You will save time and material by keeping your tools in good shape. The Black mat is a Medium fabric that works best and faster on big or deep scratches in the tool’s edge.
