Scraper fineness meter is mainly used to determine the fineness of pigment and
impurity particles in paints, lacquers, inks and other liquids and pastes,
so as to control the quality of the dispersed products in production, storage and
application, such as paints, plastics, pigments, printing inks, paper, ceramics, medicine, food and other major fields.

Introduction to Use

To use, first wash the scraper and the bottom with solvent, and dry with cotton gauze,
the specimen will be fully stirred with a paint mixing knife.
Then in the deepest part of the groove of the fineness meter, a few drops into the sample to be able to fill the groove and a little excess as appropriate.

Hold the scraper with the thumb, index finger and middle finger of both hands.
Place it horizontally on the upper end of the scraper fineness meter so that the scraper is perpendicular to the surface of the scraper fineness meter.

Pull the scraper from the deep to the shallow part of the groove at a suitable speed
so that the paint sample fills the groove without leaving excess paint on the plate.

Immediately (not more than 5 seconds) across the pinch fineness meter and tilt,
so that the line of sight and the plane of the groove at an angle of 15-30 degrees to
the light to observe the groove particles uniformly exposed to the scale value. Read the value is the fineness of the measured paint samples.
