Rather than spending extra funds for prepared agar plates, you can use our MEAC powder to pour over 110 premium quality malt extract agar dishes with activated carbon. Our MEAC powder is extremely high quality and made using biotech industry standards. The agar is excellent for mycology experiments, including mushroom cultivation. This is also a great science kit to learn microbiology and fantastic for laboratory and research use. There is enough powder included that you can pour a thick layer of agar perfect for fungal growth! You will see improved performance compared to other products. Contents: 1. 100g of Malt Extract Agar Powder with Activated Charcoal (MEAC) Here are some basic instructions: 1. Add about 32 grams powder per liter of water (distilled water is preferred). 2. Bring the mixture to a boil and mix well. 3. (Recommended) Autoclave the mixture for ~30 minutes at 15psi (121°C). 4. Pour enough agar to coat the bottom of each Petri dish. 1 Liter makes about 40 to 50 plates. 5. Let the agar cool down and solidify (this takes about 1-2hrs). 6.
