Editorial Review Devcon Contact Cement makes a tough, permanent, waterproof bond, ideal for repairing kitchen countertops, laminates, trims and moldings, leather, carpet and more. This contact cement makes the bond as soon as the two surfaces to be bonded come in contact with one another, with a handling time of 5 minutes, set time of 5 minutes, and cure time of 5 to 10 minutes. Simply apply to both surfaces, allow cement to become tacky, then join surfaces. It is good to use removable tape on any area that you do not want Contact Cement to get on. Before the product cures, remove the tape. Bonds plastic, metal, wood, ceramic, fiberglass, leather, veneer, cork, rubber, fabric, and vinyl with a tensile strength of 700 PSI. Does not bond to polyethylene or polypropylene plastics. Extremely flammable, keep away from heat, sparks and open flame. Dries to an amber color.
