The most common cause of seal failure is damage during installation. Seal Twistor tools reduce the chances of installation damage. These tools were created to do the job reliably. The Seal Twistor turns the seal into an omega shape without an acute angle (not suitable for fragile materials) which makes the size of seal smaller than the gland hole diameter. The seal may then cross over the sharp edges safely before being re-expanded into the seal groove.This is recommended for small pressure seals that are tough to install by hand or with seal picks. It also, works great for stiff seals.These handy tools come In 4 different sizes: S - (20 - 30 mm) or (0.7" - 1.187") M - (30 - 50 mm) or (1.187" - 2") L - (50 - 70 mm) or (2" - 2.75") XL - (70 - 165 mm) or (2.75" - 6.5") Handle HolderUnfortunately, we don't have a tool for sizes larger than 6.5" but the good news is you can typically twist seals of that size by hand without too much trouble.The SealTool Seal Twistor is a MUST have in a shop or field service truck.
