The purpose of these watering spikes / stakes is to deliver oxygen, water, or fertilizers directly to the root zone of struggling trees. The 36" length is recommended for use on well established large trees and palm trees. They are very easy to use: just insert the watering spikes in the soil next to the desired tree and hammer it in the ground. The strong construction of the cap on top of the spikes is durable enough to handle numerous sledgehammer blows. Once you have inserted the stake at the proper depth, the spike will send 100% of the water directly to the tree's root zone, with no run-off or evaporation. You can also insert water soluble fertilizers in the spike if your tree needs it. These Deep Drip Watering Spikes / Stakes can be used with garden hoses, automatic drip systems, or flood irrigation systems. They even help you conserve your water usage by up to 50% rather than having to use your garden hose to get the job done.
